This week baby I promise...

Well we made it! We went to feed the ducks. You know when you have an idyllic picture in you head of how something is going to happen and it so doesn't, well this was one of those moments. In my head, we would walk doen to the river, throw a few bits of bread to some passing ducks and laugh happily. No, that definitely was not how it happened. It was a bit like a scene of an Alfred Hitchcock film. Within seconds of the bread bag emerging, we were surrounded by ducks, seagulls and pigeons all stampeding around us. A completely lost the plot and started screaming hysterically, so I was carrying her in one hand and trying to offload the rest of the bread to the marauding birds. When we got back to the car, we both sat there traumatised. Needless to say, there wasn't a good opportunity to take a photo.

My second promise was to read lots of books. Fortunately on safer ground with this one. We did. We have had lots of lovely play and stories this week and apart from the "duck incident", we have had a lovely week.

"This week baby I promise....to play some real games with you. You love trying to join in with games when we play with your brothers, so this week I will get out some of the easier games and we will have some fun learning how to play them."
