So, last week, I made a promise to get a bit festive and get into the Christmas spirit. Even though I am still not at all prepared for the big day, I did make the effort to introduce the whole concept to A. She will be two next weekend and so this will be her first Christmas where she will know what's going on. So I got out our Christmas books and this one was by far her favourite:

I also got out some of our large collection of Christmas cuddlies and she loves this cuddly Rudolph!
We also listened to Christmas songs in the car and sang lots of Jingle Bells and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
So we are getting there slowly!
This week baby I promise that as it is your second birthday at the weekend, I am going to make sure that you have an extra-special day and that mummy is going to (attempt) to make you a lovely birthday cake.
I'm starting to feel quite Christmassy! Good luck with the cake!

ReplyDeleteI tried the same this week, and with the Nativity plays and decorating the tree, I'm starting to feel a little festive too!
We have been getting snow, which really helps with the festive feeling. I have also been subjecting the family to Christmas movies!
