The Gallery - Embarrassing Outfits

Thank you so much to Tara Cain this week for forcing me to put this photograph on the Internet! The theme this week is embarrassing outfits and as soon as I read that, this photo sprang to mind. Luckily for me, when I was growing up, my mum didn't take that many photos of me. That is a good thing. I wore some very dodgy things I can tell you. Born in the seventies and a teen in the eighties, I went through some interesting phases.

This photo was taken when I was about fourteen. At the time, I loved that sweat shirt. Why? Who knows! The thing that always makes me laugh though is my hair. If you ever met me, you would realise that my hair is as straight as straight can be and also very fine. I spent many nights with my hair in plaits, rags, curlers trying to inject some life into it and failed, so when I was thirteen and I had a part time job and so I started having my hair permed. It used to last for about two weeks and then I would be back to straight again.

So here goes...

... I think that is pretty embarrassing!

This post was written in response to a prompt for The Gallery on Tara Cain's brilliant blog Sticky Fingers if you want to see more pop on over and have a look.
