Continuing on a theme of books that are good for that 'in between' stage of reading children's story books and more 'grown up' books, I give you ...

'Oliver Moon was soaring on his broomstick, high above Magic School.'

Similarly to Dinosaur Cove in last weeks Fiction Friday, these books have been great for my boys, when they were ready to try something a bit more difficult.  There are a series of these and they tell the story of Oliver Moon who is a young wizard and his adventures.  The stories are really entertaining and each book is easy to read with short chapters and both of my boys have enjoyed them a lot.
