366 Project - Week 8

Back to work and school this week after our lovely half term break. It's amazing that after a few days, it feels as though you've never been away! So onto week eight...

Sunday was a day of getting ready for Monday. Homework, shoe polishing, ironing and general jobs around the house. After lunch, the children were fed up and so I made a cake. I have never seen cake disappear so quickly and it certainly cheered them up.

Monday morning saw three very unenthusiastic children who really didn't want to get up and certainly didn't want to go to school. I had to take a photo of this though; early morning snuggles. A adore her big brothers and R is really patient and good with her, they looked so sweet sat here like this.

Tuesday was a crazy day and I don't felt like I stopped. For the very first time since I started this project, I sat down after the children were asleep and realised with horror that I hadn't taken a photo. So this is L in bed. I went up to check on him as he really struggles with the concept of sleeping and there he is, hanging out of his duvet and looking cute, so I got my photo after all.

This week has been a bit crazy and busy, not for any particular reason. I think it is just getting back into a routine after the week off, but we've all been a bit tired and a bit grouchy (especially mummy!). As a result, Wednesday is another 'OMG I've forgotten to take a photo', photo. I was sat in the dark in A's bedroom, waiting for her to settle down and go to sleep. She kept popping back up and saying; "I'm not tired!" So I took a photo of her which made us both laugh.

I was really annoyed with myself today as it was ridiculously warm and sunny outside and I forgot to take my phone out with me, so here I am again at bedtime. Maybe I should rewrite this post and pretend that I knowingly planned a themed week of bedtime shots, rather than the Mrs forgetful that i really am. This is R, my little book worm. Like me, he loves reading. I am really proud of him as he will sit for ages reading and is now a brilliant reader and can read books like Harry Potter to himself. Here he is reading his school reading book.

Yay, I was determined not to have another end of the day shot and on the way back from the morning school run, I was struck by how amazing the sky was. So I stopped the car and this was the result. I actually think that this is my favourite photo from this week as it's so atmospheric.

Saturday brought with it an unusually warm and sunny day and the children were thrilled to be able to visit the park, whihc we haven't done for a few weeks.  They had a great time and then spent most of the rest of the day in the garden.  Freedom!

Come back next week and have a look at what we've been up to and if you want to see some more 366 projects, pop over to see The Boy and Me's linky for lots more inspiring photos.

  10. I find Tues,Weds & thursdays really difficult too as those are the days the the little one goes to preschool so I usually have some very uninteresting pics on these days! Hopefully as the nights get lighter it will get easier!
