366 Project - Week 7

Another week has passed and although it has been a bit on the grey side, it was half term and so we headed off to South Wales to stay with the in-laws and so we had a change of scenery and a bit of a break which was just what we needed.

Sunday was spent sorting out wardrobes as I am trying to have an almighty clear out. Daddy was left holding the fort with the children and for some reason unbeknown to me, he decided that it was a really good idea to have go out into the garden for a game of rugby. I should really have taken a photo of my mud covered children but I think I was too cross to take photos. You have never seen anything like it! I had to put their clothes through the washing machine three times. So instead I give you the aftermath of our poor lawn which took a battering.

Daddy went to work for a few hours on Monday and so we packed ready to go to Wales and then we were hanging around waiting to get going. The three monsters were playing tickles on the sofa so I couldn't resist a quick photo.

Tuesday we caught up with cousins and went to the local beach for a play and a walk. It was lovely and a bit fresh so I suggested the cafe to have a warm drink. The children insisted on ice-cream instead. Mummy had a lovely hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.

Wednesday we visited some friends in Cardiff and visited Roath Park for the first time. It is a fantastic park next to a fabulous lake. The children had a lovely time.

Thursday was a quieter day and we went to the cinema. This picture was A in the bath playing with the watering can. She loves watering her toes.

Friday was a chilly day and after we had packed up to go home, we went for one final stroll along the very blustery beach. Luckily we just missed the rain, but it certainly blew the cobwebs away.

Saturday morning and mummy was teaching, so daddy had to take all of the children to watch R play football.  L was so cold that he ended up wearing three jackets, two hats and two sets of gloves and was still shivering!

Come back next week and have a look at what we've been up to and if you want to see some more 366 projects, pop over to see The Boy and Me's linky for lots more inspiring photos.

  10. Looks like you had a great week off.

Sometime Dads don't have the brightest of ideas - I wonder if he would be so keen to play rugby again if he had to do the washing.
