First picture of the week was of my lovely L who didn't figure in last weeks photos much. He has the loveliest smile. He also has the worst temper too, maybe we will see this another time. He has made me laugh a lot this week. He has this on, off girlfriend at school, who he adores. He told me this week that he loves me, but he loves her more and I was slightly concerned when he came up with this: "L and S sitting in the car. Are they naked? Yes they are!" He is six!!!
Monday was R's 8th birthday and everyone was very excited. We were all up early to watch him open his presents, although he did get a lot of help from his little sister.
Tuesday and in the bath A decided that she was going to wash her own hair. She is going through a little miss independent stage at the moment. We were both laughing as she kept tipping jugfuls of water all over herself, which I managed to capture in this photo.
Carrying on with the hair theme on Wednesday, I took A for a proper big girl hair cut. It was the second time that she has had her hair cut, but the first time was an 'interesting' experience to say the least, so we did a big build up for this event and she was such a brilliant girl, she sat on the big chair all by herself and let the hairdresser do her thing. I was a very proud mummy although I nearly fell over with shock at the cost - £14!! We were only there for ten minutes.
By Thursday of this week, it was safe to say that we were all flagging a bit. It is that time of the half term, where the children definitely need a holiday. This was a moment of calm between my two boys who spent the rest of the week fighting - over everything. I just remember sitting down for breakfast and thinking; "Wow, it's quiet. No bickering!". And so I photographed it for posterity.
I love this photo and I think it is my favourite of this week. It looks very dramatic, but actually isn't at all. It was so freezing cold on Friday morning that the neighbour's central heating vent was pouring out thick clouds of steam. We were walking past to go to the car, but A refused to walk through it. So, big brother to the rescue. She is quite heavy and I love that you can see the effort on his face.
Saturday saw a sprinkling of snow which A was fascinated with and was desperate to build a snowman, although I had to point out that it would be a very small snowman. She loved it and spent ages walking up and down and studying her footsteps.
So, that was another week down and the end of the first month.

The photographs really are a. Great insite into your life. You choose the same favourite as me, it really does look dramatic I love it!!
