366 Project - Week Three

Well, I did it! I managed another week! As we descend back into term-time mayhem and I feel like I am running around from one place to another, I was worried that I would keep forgetting. But, so far, I am taking a few shots each day which is lovely as it means that I am generally taking more photos. What is also lovely is that I feel as though I am thinking more about the photos I am taking and, thanks to downloading Instagram and BeFunkyPro, onto my phone, I am now trying to be a bit more creative with my photos too.

Sunday was a real chill out day. Or a 'duvet day'. The children (and mummy) were all a bit tired after the first full week back at school. This is not the most exciting photo in the world, however it represents my six year old son L. He is totally obsessed with football and rugby, but will pretty much watch and keep tabs on any sport. (yawn) Just before Christmas, we decided to get Sky Sports for a few months as he was constantly watching football matches from the seventies on ESPN. When we turned on Sky Sports 1 for the first time, he cried with joy, bless him. The downside now is his constantly wanting to watch sport.

Back to school on Monday and it was a cold and frosty morning. I was struck by how beautiful everything looked as it was really frosty, but really sunny too.

Tuesday was a busy day and we had tea late. The children were starving and made me laugh with the speed and enthusiasm they wolfed down the food. You also get a glimpse of the horror that is my ironing pile in the background.

Wednesday was a big day as my little A went to playgroup for the first time. She is only just two, so to begin with, she is just going to go for one morning a week. She was really excited and I was quite relaxed about it as my sons went to the same playgroup and it is lovely. When I went to pick her up at twelve o'clock, she ran to give me the biggest hugs ever which was lovely. Apparently she had been fine, but the playgroup leader did say; "She is quite wilful, isn't she?" That's an understatement! As we left, she was clutching her painting in her hand which she was very proud of, so I thought that would make a good photo for today.

SO today, I decided to get a bit creative. I took a lovely photo of my seven year old at breakfast of his lovely cheeky face and them I had a play with it. I rather liked this effect and he loved it and wants me to print it out for him to put in his bedroom.

A rare sighting indeed of the slightly spotted stressy mummy. I hate being in photos, I am much happier behind the lens, but as I was having an early morning snuggle with my three youngest, my hubby took a sneaky picture. I know that I should make more of a effort to be in photos, for the children to look back on more than me.

Last but not least, a lovely picture taken on Saturday of L and his sister deep in cuddly concentration.  A decided that today was a really good day for sunglasses!

Come back next week and have a look at what we've been up to and if you want to see some more 366 projects, pop over to see The Boy and Me's linky for lots more inspiring photos.

  1. Glad to hear your little one took to pre-school well. Toddler doesn't like the initial going through the door and is crying and occasionally flinging herself on the floor but once she's in she's fine and is enjoying herself. Love the photos.

For the watermark thingy, I use picasa which is already downloaded on my laptop. As I drop each image into my 366 file it puts it on automatically
