366 Project My first week!

The 365 project is not a new phenomenon, but it is new to me. I read about it recently and thought that it is a brilliant idea. I take endless photos, mainly of my children and I love the idea of being able to look back at a yearly record of them, the things they do and see how much they all change in that year.

Thanks firstly to Amanda who writes the amazing theanamumdiary blog without whom, I would have remained completely ignorant of the project and also to TheBoyAndMe who is doing a weekly blog link up for people to link up a weekly post of their 365 project photos, rather that posting everyday, which gave me the final incentive to give this amazing project a go. I love taking photos and now I have a fairly decent camera on my phone, there really is no excuse not to take at least one photo a day.

1st January 2012. My husband and I took the three youngest children to a local park as it was such a mild and dry day. We had a brilliant time. The park was unusually quiet and we had a great play on everything, played football and ran up a good appetite for lunch.

I love this photo as it is quite unusual to get a photo with the three all looking the right way and looking happy.

Day two saw me nearly forgetting to take a photo!!  I now have a reminder in the kitchen, just in case.  Luckily, the boys were just settling down for bed and this was an unusual bit of brotherly bonding over a rugby book.

Day three and R and I did some cooking.  We were having some visitors and made some lovely Malteser cakes (courtesy of Cheetahs In My Shoes, where you will find this and other lovely recipes) and some white chocolate chip cakes.  They were yummy and didn't last long!

Day four and daddy went back to work.  We were all up quite early which was a bit of a shock, so some duvet and snuggles in front of early morning television were in order to break us gently in to the day.

Day five was back to school day for the boys, so we were up early, bags packed and almost raring to go.  We had such a lovely Christmas holiday that none of us were very enthusiastic today.

Day six and it was swimming which was clearly very tiring!

Day seven and as part of our determination to get out more as a family and make more of our weekends, we made the most of the afternoon sunshine and dragged the new bikes and scooter out for a trip to the park.  It was a lovely afternoon.

So that was week one.  One down and fifty one to go!
