Last Friday we were at Family assembly at my two boys primary school. A is always a bit of a handful as this requires sitting down and being quiet, neither of which she does willingly. So we always sit at the back out of the way and I try bribing her with food, drink and books to try and minimise any disruption that she may cause!
This week some other little ones were standing on chairs to watch, so A thought that this looked like fun. Everyone stood up to sing a hymn and then the Headteacher told everyone to sit down.
A is starting to speak quite clearly now and loves copying what people say, but still miss pronounces some words. So A standing on her chair shouts at the top of her voice "shit down everybody!". The whole hall fell silent as everyone turned to see A looking very pleased with herself and me wanting the ground to open up and swallow me whole!!
